Chocolate Cherry Oatmeal

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup coconut milk or plain or vanilla milk of choice
  • 1/2 cup pitted cherries fresh or frozen
  • splash vanilla extract
  • dash salt
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp sweetened shredded coconut optional

Instructions
 

  • place oats, milk, cherries, vanilla, cocoa, and salt in a microwave safe bowl
  • microwave for 90 seconds
  • remove and stir
  • microwave for another 90 seconds for frozen cherries, 30 seconds for fresh
  • stir again and let sit for 2-5 minutes
  • top with cinnamon and shredded coconut
  • enjoy hot
